Pediatric patients present serious challenges. From behavior management challenges to struggling with rarely used pediatric techniques, general dentists often feel out of their comfort zone when treating these situations. Pediatric dentists have developed many techniques that help treat tricky situations with minimal intervention. This course teaches these techniques, when to use them, and how to do them. Some topics discussed are the uncooperative patient with mild to moderate decay, the sensitive hypoplastic molar, how to incorporate SDF into your practice, appropriate use of Glass ionomer, the modified Hall crown, and Strip crowns. All of these may keep kiddos in your practice longer. The hands-on portion will help you understand how to perform these techniques while allowing for feedback on how to have success. This course is designed to have you walk away feeling confident in your ability to bring these techniques into practice and answer your pediatric questions.
