Good morning, hope you’ve had a good week. After a couple goofy weeks to start the year, this week seemed to get back to normal a bit and all the offices I visited were very busy. As we head into the last week of January, there are a few things to get out there.
First off, UPS is still a bit of a mess. Orders that normally take a day to arrive are typically taking two days currently. MLK added to the backlog as UPS wasn’t shipping at all. Orders are still going out, but it may be another few days before they are caught up, so just something to keep in mind.
Next, we are selling a bunch of TBS bone and membrane. People really like the allograft delivery system, and the handling of the membrane is getting rave reviews. If you haven’t tried it yet, they are offering a 100% satisfaction guarantee and some good promos (4+1 or 10+3 on both). You can order HERE or find more information HERE.
Along those same lines, if you are doing ridge preservation, Dr. Jay Reznick helped develop some new membrane forceps that make it easier to place and not stick to the instrument. It should be a great upgrade to what you currently have. He also has a complete Ridge Preservation Kit that we’ve sold a fair amount of (2+1 and it’s priced well). Also, a link to a quick article he wrote can be found HERE.
Lastly concerning TBS, we have been scheduling a bunch of online demos to go over new surgical instrumentation. You can schedule that online HERE and get special access to promotions. I’m working on a hands on ridge preservation course sometime in the near future.
Next, a save the date. We’ve had quite a few questions regarding the new Perio Guide from Solea (and just Solea in general) so we thought we’d put together a nice dinner on Thursday, March 6th. It will be at the Kirkwood or Clayton Cafe Napoli. I’ll have a flyer later, but if you are interested in attending, let me know and you’ll be the first to get the flyer.
Some quick hits
Chicago mid-winter is around the corner. If you are planning on attending, please let me know to schedule a meeting or so I can get you tickets to anything we might be doing there. I have a list of products to check out and new items to look at, but if you’d like me to do any research or look for anything, I’m happy to do so.
Solventum’s (3M) new sticky free fluoride varnish has been a big hit. I recently reviewed the clinical evaluation by Dental Advisor and they knocked it out of the park. If you’d like some samples, I just got some additional ones to pass out.
Biotech just announced the newest date for an introduction to implant placement on May 17th and 18th with Dr. Rob Reti and Dr. Brandon Prior. Previous attendees have told me how good the course is, so thought I’d share the information HERE.
Ivoclar came out with a nifty new product that decreases aerosols from ultrasonic scaling by up to 99%. It binds the aerosols before they form making cleanings quicker and more comfortable for the patient. More info HERE.
I still can’t believe how inexpensive Patterson’s zirconia cutting diamonds are and they work well. Info HERE.
Finally, congratulations to the incoming GSTLDS President, Dr. Jennifer Wheeler. Due to a crazy 2nd grade parents party, I’ll miss the installation dinner, but I’ll be there in spirt!
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the rest of the day!
Thanks,
Matt
