Ridge preservation hands on, extractions, cookies

Good morning and happy Thursday. Hopefully you’re enjoying the warmer weather and this week’s been great. After the disruption to the first part of the year, it seems that everyone’s making up for it now as offices seem to be really busy.

There is some really good news to share on things I’ve been working on that I hope everyone will enjoy. Surgical information seems to be in high demand right now so I’m trying to focus education around that.

First, there’s a really good live CE webinar next Wednesday night at 6 PM on minimally traumatic extractions. Dr. Tawil is a good speaker, and it would be an hour well spent. You can find more information and register HERE.

Secondly, we did a dinner a few months ago down in Cape Girardeau on emerging technologies and it went really well. Kirkwood just got a café Napoli restaurant, and we’ve reserved their private space on Thursday, March 6. Here’s a rough flyer, but you can RSVP to me or Vince. It’s going to be covering photogrammetry, the face scanner, and CO2 lasers. It’s also going to include the new Perio guide, which has been a hot topic.

Lastly, a save the date. I’ve been working on this for a few months and I finally got everything set up. On Friday, May 2, Dr. Jay Reznik is coming in from California to do a hands-on Ridge preservation course. There’s been a few of these around the country in the feedback I’ve gotten has been phenomenal. It’d be well worth coming in from out of town and attending. The night before we will do a group dinner if anyone’s interested in going.

Quick hits

For those that know Kate Quaka from Invisalign, she is starting with Candid. I’ve had a few people ask me for her new phone number and I want to provide that. Her phone number is 314-629-1120 and her new email is kate.quaka@candidco.com. I’ve already set up some lunch and learns for her so if you would like that, you can reach out to me or her directly.

The owner and founder of Tbs Dental , Haseeb Sajiad, is coming to ride with me for a couple days in March (5th and 6th). We’re going to be visiting Tbs offices, but if anyone is interested in chatting with him, he’s a great guy. We can talk about bone, membrane, instruments, whatever you’d like. We also will have a small group dinner the night of March 5 and if you would like to attend, just let me know. No real presentation, just a nice dinner somewhere.

I’ve had a few people ask me if the girls are selling Girl Scout cookies this year and they are. If you would like to order some here is a link for Avery and here is one for Addison. They are sweet kids, most of the time, and would appreciate any orders, but don’t feel obligated. Just for those who like Girl Scout cookies and haven’t bought any.

That’s it, short and sweet. I’m really excited about things we have planned for this year but would appreciate any feedback anyone has. Have a wonderful rest of the week and a great weekend!

Thanks!

Matt
