Good afternoon and happy Friday! Hopefully you’ve been able to stay cool and had a great week. Personally, we feel like summer is coming to an end as school starts in just over two weeks. Hard to believe how fast swimming, soccer, softball, volleyball, and all the other camps have gone this summer, but we’ve started to shift our focus to the new school year and fall. Both personally and with Patterson.
To begin, I’ve got some really fun save the dates.
Thursday, November 6th at Olive and Oak – this will be our local dentsply Sirona world. Vince is working on a couple well-known speakers and it’ll be a fantastic night of food and information.
Tuesday, September 30th at Sedona bistro in Cape Girardeau. This will also cover everything that came out in Las Vegas surrounding Dentsply Sirona World and also emerging technologies.
Wednesday, October 15th at Addison South in Columbia we will be replicating the Cape Girardeau night.
There will be lots to cover with the sun setting of DS connect and moving to DS core. There’s also talk of a nitrogen generator coming out and new hardware also. I’ll have flyers for all these, but if there’s one or multiple in particular you’d like to attend, we’ve already started to get some RSVPs.
The next TBS hands-on course will be the first or second Friday morning in December. I believe Dr.
Neal Patel is going to be coming in. I’ve had requests for some restorative hands-on and this should tackle that subject matter. More to come on that, but I know there’s quite a few Neal Patel fans. (Why we sell so many black gloves also!)
I was hoping to bring in Jason Ford, but I think he’ll be in for the spring. I know we’ve got others that follow Jason Ford and Solea is doing a hands-on with him Friday, August 8 in Kentucky. I can’t attend, but if it’s something you would like to go to, please let me know and we can help with costs.
Next, moving on to the Solea Summit in Austin, Texas on October 10th and 11th. It’s come to our attention this is the same weekend as Austin city limit music festival. If you’re planning on attending or would like to go, happy to provide more information, but I believe we will try to go to the music festival Friday night after education. The hotel block is eight minutes from the park. Please reach out to Vince for additional information and specifically information regarding airfare.
Monday begins the last week of the summer Kavo flash sale. If you need to add to your arsenal of handpieces, it’s a 3+2 on master torque and a 2+ 1 on expert torque.
I finally got in my bone plug samples from Tbs. If you’d like one or two to try out, let me know and I’ll run them by the office. Also, their sutures have launched and are live. I’ve attached their brand new brochure here that just came out a couple days ago. They’re being very aggressive with pricing and Free Goods and they state that people should be impressed!
I recently added quite a few new educational opportunities, some live some virtual, on the website. Rather than going through all of them, I’ll just put the link HERE, but I will point out the one next week on implant and biofilm would be a good one to share with the Hygiene team.
We’ve had a lot of interest in scanning during Hygiene appointments. I’ve had quite a few offices ask me what that looks like, so I’ve received links to two different examples of what can be sent to the patient after their appointment. Here are two links- one from shining and Digi-doc (password: 6bTb). Happy to dive in more, but most people haven’t seen what’s out there quite yet.
Tired of stericycle? We’ve partnered with a company called med pro disposal and they have simplified contracts, below market rates, and claim to save 30% over stericycle. I’ve got plenty of information I could send if you’re interested.
Lastly, normally our financing during the summer isn’t anything to write home about, but we just came out with 5.95% for up to 60 months or 0% for 12 months through August.
Have a wonderful weekend and reach out with anything!
Thanks!
Matt
