Good morning and happy Wednesday! It’s been fun hearing about all the summer trips and vacations everybody had over the last couple of months. Life for us started getting back to normal yesterday as all three girls had their first day of school. The little one is now in PreK 3, so there is one drop-off for the next couple years!
I’ve been waiting to send this email for a few weeks as there is lots of exciting things going on!
First and foremost, I secured Dr. Brian Harris to speak in September. I’ve been working on getting him to town for a LONG time now and hopefully we will (should) have a big crowd. He’s an excellent speaker, fantastic at marketing, very easy to talk to, and great with cosmetics. To maximize his time in town, he will be doing two different programs. If you are out of town, it would be well worth the drive in to hear him speak.
Thursday, September 12th will focus on Marketing. It would be a great course for any doctor, but also for office managers or anybody in the office who works on the marketing side. You can register HERE.
Friday, September 13th will focus on cosmetic dentistry and how he presents to patients. This would be a great course for any Dr., but also anybody who works chairside. You can register HERE.
He’s fairly pricy to bring to town, but through sponsors, we managed to keep the cost very low and for Patterson customers, you can use the promo code “Advantage50” for 50% off.
Next, Planmeca is bringing in a dental radiologist on Thursday, October 10th. With how many CBCT machines we have in the area, we thought this would be very well received. Course description and more information HERE, however to register you can either let me know or e-mail Jamelle.
Back in June, I sent out an email with two exciting things coming out. One was a sterilizer to compete with the Statim (not out yet) and the other was an electric attachment specifically for cutting off zirconia. When I heard about this, I could envision most offices with electrics having one on hand for when they need it since it will work with any electric motor. It was launched within the last week and the initial reviews are fantastic. W&H is also giving a free attachment -with the purchase of the “Synea Power Edition”. Let me know if you’d like to purchase or try one out and I’ll make it happen! There are some really good videos HERE and a DPR release HERE.
Finally, another product we’ve been waiting on that is finally here. If you use Osteoplug by Implant Direct or OsteogenPlug by Impladent you might want to look at Regenafill by Surgical Esthestics. The main difference is the type of mineral and the amount of it. It has Carbonate apatite which studies show is better than Hydroxy apatite and has almost twice the mineral content as Osteogen. Having more mineral content is conducive to better bone healing. It comes in 10x20mm and 6x25mm which is the same as the others, but is priced more competitively and they are doing an introductory 4+1 (compared to 5+1).
Quick Hits
-American Eagles 10+10 on instruments ends this week (let me know if you are interested)
-TBS has a 1+1 on their scalers- they auto-ship and you can see them HERE (corporate accounts are not eligible, but reach out for specials with TBS)
–All upcoming education can be found HERE.
-Entertainment for DS World SHOULD be released this week.
Sorry for being a bit long-winded, but we are pretty excited about the education we are bringing to town. Let me know if we can help with anything else and have a great rest of the week!
Thanks,
Matt
