SUMMARY:Facilitate Better Ridge Preservation With The Right Instruments
DESCRIPTION:1 CE Credit*\n1 Hour of FREE education by world-renowned Oral Surgeon\, Dr. Jay B. Reznick.\nAre your ridge preservation procedures unpredictable?\nDiscover how new instruments can transform your results in alveolar ridge preservation grafting. \nCourse Objectives\n\nBecome aware of the necessary techniques for predictable and successful alveolar ridge preservation grafting.\nUnderstand how using the right instruments and supplies will help you perform alveolar ridge preservation grafting with less stress and better results.\nLearn about some newly developed instruments designed to facilitate ridge preservation grafting.\nSee how a novel bone allograft delivery system improves the efficiency of ridge preservation grafting.\nKnow how to obtain these instruments and supplies for their practice.\n\nFor more info and to register\, visit here \nCourse Overview\nWe are all aware that dentistry and surgery are an art\, in addition to a science. For most of what we do\, there can be multiple ways to perform a procedure to get to the same result. But just like it is for a chef\, the tools and instruments we use can facilitate the performance and efficiency of a task or make it much more challenging. When it comes to successful alveolar ridge preservation grafting after a tooth is extracted\, a variety of new instruments and biologic materials have been designed to allow the clinician to perform these procedures with less stress\, better efficiency\, and more predictable results. This course will introduce the clinician to these essential tools to make their ridge preservation surgeries easier to complete so that a dental implant can be used to restore their patients’ oral function. \nSpeaker: Dr. Jay B. Reznick\, DMD\, MD\nDr. Reznick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his undergraduate Biology degree from CAL-Berkeley\, Dental degree from Tufts University\, and his M.D. degree from the University of Southern California. He did his internship in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at L.A. County- USC Medical Center. \nDr. Reznick was one of the first North American adopters of fully-guided\, prosthetically based implant surgery and was the first specialist in the U.S. to integrate CBCT and CAD/CAM in his practice. He has taught dentists about basic and advanced implant dentistry\, surgery\, and 3D digital technology for the last 2 decades. Dr. Reznick has published extensively in the dental and medical literature. He lectures frequently at dental meetings and educational conferences\, as well as giving live training courses to dentists from all over the world. \nDr. Reznick is one of the Founders of the website OnlineOralSurgery.com\, which educates practicing dentists in basic and advanced oral surgery techniques. Dr. Reznick is also a consultant to a number of manufacturers and suppliers of dental and surgical instruments and equipment\, and is on the Editorial Advisory Boards of a number of dental journals. He is the Director of the Southern California Center for Oral and Facial Surgery in Tarzana\, California. SUMMARY:Improve Your Dental Rizz: Say Goodbye to Posterior Composites
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 21\, 2024 \, 4PM PT\nCE Credit: 1 \nFor more info and to register\, visit here \nCourse Overview\n‘I love doing a quadrant of large\, deep class II’s and III’s… said no dentist ever.’ Join Dr. Craig Spodak in saying adios to those back-breaking soul-crushing composite restorations and explore why highly-durable\, minimally invasive\, indirect 3D printed restorations are the future. Attendees will learn how Digital Press Stereolithography (DPS) technology enables clinicians to achieve superior clinical outcomes while embracing partial coverage restorations and preserving more of the natural tooth structure. By moving beyond traditional composites\, practices can streamline workflows\, boost efficiency\, and enhance patient satisfaction\, all while achieving better profitability and predictable results. \nKey Topics:\n\nRecognize the Limitations of Large Posterior Composites\n\nEvaluate the clinical limitations of hand-layered traditional large\, direct composites in quadrant dentistry\, focusing on how composite restorations often require excessive tooth reduction\, technique-sensitive layering\, and result in less durable outcomes.\n\n\nExplore the Efficiency of Digital Press Stereolithography for Indirect Restorations\n\nUnderstand how DPS technology allows for efficient\, high-precision partial coverage restorations (e.g.\, inlays\, onlays)\, reducing the need for crowns and preserving more of the patient’s natural tooth structure.\n\n\nMaximize Profitability and Patient Outcomes with Tooth-Preserving Techniques\n\nDiscover how using ceramic onlay codes (D2643 and D2644) can significantly boost practice revenue while providing patients with long-lasting\, tooth-preserving restorations. Discuss how 3D printed restorations restore teeth to their original strength and eliminate the issues seen with direct composites\, like microleakage and shrinkage stress\, for improved patient satisfaction and clinical success.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Dr. Craig Spodak\nDr. Craig Spodak\, a third-generation dentist\, graduated with highest honors from Tufts University and joined his father’s practice in Delray Beach\, Florida\, in 1998. In 2006\, he assumed leadership and transformed the practice into a state-of-the-art\, 13\,000-square-foot\, LEED Gold Certified facility\, bringing together general and specialty dentists for comprehensive care under one roof. His practice prioritizes innovative\, compassionate patient care with advanced technology across 18 operatories and an on-site lab for same-day services. Dr. Spodak is also a committed advocate for community causes\, co-founding the All-Star Smiles Foundation with MLB’s Giancarlo Stanton to combat childhood tooth decay\, and has expanded his influence nationally\, providing lectures on dental practice culture and financial education. His achievements include accolades such as the ADA’s 2014 Dental Office Design of the Year and Inc5000 recognition. Active in Delray Beach’s business and civic life\, Dr. Spodak’s contributions have solidified his practice as both a pioneering dental facility and a community pillar. \nFor more info and to register\, visit here

SUMMARY:Biofilm: Dentistry's Most Evil Nemesis or the Next Revolutionary Thing?
DESCRIPTION:1 Free CE Credit*\nIs biofilm dentistry’s greatest enemy or a potential game-changer? \nJoin Melissa Turner for an eye-opening webinar exploring the complex world of dental biofilm. \nDive deep into the science behind dental biofilm with Melissa Turner as she explores its dual role in oral health—both harmful and helpful. Learn about the oral microbiome\, biofilm theories\, and cutting-edge technologies for managing biofilms in clinical practice and at home. Gain insights that will reshape how you approach biofilm in your practice. \nLearning Objectives\n\nUnderstand the overarching role microbiology plays in oral-system inflammation and clinical disease prevention and control\nDiscover the history\, genesis and predictions of biofilm theories\nIdentify the locations\, types\, and factors that produce and effect the oral microbiome\nLearn why biofilms can be both harmful and helpful within the oral health ecosystem\nExplore innovative clinical and homecare technologies that help decrease and control oral biofilms\n\nFor more info and to register\, visit here \nCourse Overview\nMuch like an antagonist in any good story\, dental biofilm seems to be the main character in today’s clinical dentistry—we scale it\, polish it\, remove it\, and dread it. It shows up on implants\, removable prosthesis\, in subgingival pockets and even in our dental unit waterlines. But what do we actually know about these complex microbiological communities living within each and every one of us? Are they always bad? Do they actually cause inflammation? Can we eliminate them completely? In this deep dive into the oral microbiome\, Melissa Turner takes a step back and identifies what we do know about the microbes who dwell in our mouth—and helps us understand that there is much left to be discovered in the underworld that we call biofilm. \nSpeaker: Melissa K.
