Course Overview

Traditional implant crown delivery often requires multiple visits and lab time. Advancements in digital dentistry now allow clinicians to scan, design, mill, and seat a final implant crown — all in one appointment.

In this hands-on clinic, attendees will learn a predictable digital workflow for single-unit implant restorations, from intraoral scanning through final seating. Clinicians will also gain strategies to avoid and troubleshoot common issues including open contacts, high occlusion, screw loosening, esthetic discrepancies, soft-tissue challenges, and restoration misfit. Participants will complete a full workflow on a typodont and leave equipped to bring same-day implant restoration capability back to their practice.

Course Objectives

• Capture accurate implant position and angulation using validated scan-body protocols
• Choose between screw-retained, hybrid-abutment, or cement-retained designs and optimize emergence profile
• Mill, finish, polish, and characterize implant crowns chairside
• Verify and adjust contacts and occlusion with a stepwise protocol to minimize complications
• Prevent and manage issues like open contacts, high occlusion, microgaps, screw loosening, and tissue irritation
• Implement a digital workflow to increase efficiency, reduce remakes, and maximize ROI
