Good morning and happy Friday! What a great time of the year and a beautiful day today. Hopefully, you’ve got a great weekend planned! Personally, we are booked up with soccer games and Catholic picnics this weekend, but it should be a fun one. Lot’s of neat stuff going on so thought I’d get a message out.
If you didn’t hear, the union port workers reached a deal to suspend the strike until January. We will continue to monitor this to make sure there isn’t any delay on any products.
While visiting offices this week, I’ve had lots of interest and questions about the CBCT course this upcoming Thursday. If you’d like to go, please let me know. The speaker is Dr. Peter Green who is a dental radiologist and will be going over reading CBCT scans. If you have a CBCT machine, I think it will be very beneficial and interesting. You can find more information HERE.
Patterson has discounted all private-label anesthetics to “Beat the Freeze”. For non-corporate customers, lidocaine, articaine and mepivacaine are all 8+2 through October. is a 8+2.
E.Max? Ivoclar extended the buy 50 get 15 free through October 31st. However, they are still offering an additional $500 in advantage dollars through the end of today. If you’d like to take advantage of this, I will be available all day.
Using a Speedfire? E.max will take 14 minutes on average to crystallize a molar crown in the speedfire oven. Nothing new to buy, just a software update.
We’ve been selling a bunch of TBS’s new Regen bone and membrane. The handling of the membrane has gotten rave reviews as well as the delivery of the bone. They are both priced very well. You can see a quick one-minute video of the bone HERE and membrane HERE. There is also a 4+1 for advantage customers through the end of the year.
Printing? Many resin manufacturers give a 90-day guarantee before the resins expire. We’ve been having issues with that not being enough time, so Patterson has extended this to 9 months for all Primeprint resins. For some reason if you get one without at least a 9 month expiration date, please reach out and I’ll get it swapped out.
Next, WH as FINALLY released the Lisa Mini. It will compete favorably with the Statim 2000, but will be much quicker (less than 9 minutes) and actually cost less. It looks like a winner and would be worth a look if you have a Statim going out or would like to add to your sterilization.
Finally, I’ve ordered one of the electric handpiece attachments from WH that are specifically designed to work on Zirconia. If you’d like me to drop it off at your office for a couple days, I’d be happy to do so. It will work with any electric motor. It’s interesting as it doesn’t have as fast RPM’s, but by slowing it down, they can increase the torque.
Have a wonderful weekend and if you are looking for a great way to spend you Saturday, St. Gabe’s will have their Fall Picnic. The kids have a great time with the rides and games, but you have to watch that they don’t end up winning a goldfish (happens almost every time)!
Thanks,
Matt
