About the Webinar

This course focuses on operatory turnover as a critical link between patient care and instrument reprocessing. Topics include barrier use and removal, appropriate PPE during turnover, surface disinfection, and safe handling/transport of contaminated instruments to the sterilization area. Participants will learn how to create a consistent, step-by-step flow that reduces cross-contamination and supports safer, more predictable outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate proper barrier placement and removal techniques to reduce the risk of cross-contamination during operatory turnover.
  • Apply appropriate PPE and surface disinfection protocols based on clinical contact surfaces and product IFUs.
  • Implement proper ultrasonic protocols, including solution management, loading, and processing techniques once instruments enter the sterilization area.
